GLASGOW - ROSIE KANE

Rosie Kane is Scotland's best known female political figure, internationally reknowned for her tireless campaigning and practical support for Scotland's asylum seeker community. When an international conference was held in Cuba to discuss the terrorist actions of the government of the United States of America, the organisers invited Rosie Kane as a representative of the anti imperialist left in Scotland.
Most of the work that Rosie and her case worker and volunteers do goes unreported but over the past 3 years countless people living in Glasgow have recieved help and assistence denied to them by official organisations.
Rosie continues to be a militant peace activist and regularly finds herself in police cells for her troubles.
